Meet the Staff

Editor - Jimmy Flint
Welcome to our little corner of the world-wide web. We're really happy to have you here and we hope you continue to come along with us on this 162-game (or hopefully more!) journey. I became a Cleveland Indians fan in 1997 when I was five. I vaguely remember watching the Indians lose game 7 to the Florida Marlins in the world series that year. But, as I got older, my favorite sport still was baseball. My favorite player was Kenny Lofton and I always told people when I grew up I wanted to play center field for the Cleveland Indians. The Lofton-Vizquel-Alomar-Ramirez-Thome-Justice years were among my favorites.

I also have a fascination with the statistical side of baseball and spend a lot of my time diving into spreadsheets, trying to find new ways to analyze and evaluate players. (If that sounds nerdy, it's probably because it is!).

I am a full-time reporter in real life, but I enjoy using this website and podcast as a hobby to share my passion for the sport and for the team with other fans. Please, if you have any feedback, comments or questions, contact me at our website e-mail: wahoowindians@gmail.com

Hey, fellow Tribe fans! My name is Luke Wickiser and I am happy to join all of you in supporting our Indians here in 2017! My path to being an Indians fan was probably an odd one because I wasn't raised as a baseball fan when I was a kid. I actually picked up my Indians fandom much later than most, as a college sophomore at Kent State University. One afternoon back in 2012 when I didn't have any work to do, I sat back and watched an Indians game on TV and thought to myself "You know what? This is just fun to watch, and it's relaxing and interesting at the same time." After I wrote my first postgame analysis on Facebook back then, I was hooked. I've passionately followed the Cleveland Indians ever since that day!

I have been a sportswriter before, interning at The Courier in Findlay, Ohio and working at the Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin, Ohio from September 2015 to August 2016. I was actually fortunate enough to get to know our Editor, Jimmy Flint, as a coworker and good friend during my time there. Now I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Findlay. Even though grad school keeps me busy at times, I will always find time to passionately support our Indians! Join me and the rest of us here at Roll Tribe Roll, and cheer the Tribe on to a successful season, hopefully, one that ends with Cleveland's first World Series Championship since 1948! GO TRIBE!

Hello Tribe fans! I fell in love with the Indians back in the mid-90’s when my dad began taking me to the ballgame at the ripe old age of 10. Of course, that is when everyone was a fan of the Indians because they were such an amazing team. By the time all of the excitement of the 95’ and 97’ season wore off… the love for the game of baseball had weaved its way into the very fibers of my being. I adore everything about the game; from a hot dog with stadium mustard. to singing God Bless America on Sundays and to the fascinating role of a utility player (which, in fact, my favorite position a player can have). I love the sound that the ball makes when it hits the bat and when a player is running so fast around the bases that his helmet flies off. How can anybody not be romantic about baseball!

Baldridge is to handle our pregame keys for every game! She has been posting keys to the game for every game the past three seasons. She said she was late only two times. Baldridge also is an admin for the Cleveland Indians Tribe Nation Facebook page. Be sure to join it and join in on our discussion about the team!

As long as I can remember, I have been watching and enjoying Indians baseball. From my first game in the summer of 1997 on Larry Doby day until right now, I’ve always been a die-hard fan. In recent years, I have begun to write about the Tribe and baseball in general. I started writing articles on FanGraphs in February 2016, and eventually decided I’d rather write about my favorite team than the entire league (especially because I only really watch and listen to the Tribe!).  I work a full-time job as an engineer but during baseball season I dedicate almost all of my spare time to one thing, baseball. You’ll see me around quite a bit at Progressive Field decked out in Tribe gear with my wife Brianne.
