Game Recap: Game #2 Cleveland Indians 4, Texas Rangers 3

Quick Recap
The Tribe held off a ninth-inning rally to get its second victory of the season last night 4-3.
Cleveland tallied four runs on seven hits while the Rangers had three runs on seven hits.
Leading the charge for the Indians offensively was Carlos Santana, who had a home run, a single and a walk. Michael Brantley and Austin Jackson, who made is Tribe debut, each had two hits as well.
Carlos Carrasco took the hill for the Indians and pitched 5.2 innings, striking out seven and walking only one. Boone Logan finished out the sixth inning before Brian Shaw and Andrew Miller combined to pitch scoreless frames in the seventh and eight innings. Cody Allen closed the game out in the ninth for the save, but not before giving up two hits and one run. Indians twitter criticized Allen, but he still did strike out the side for his second save of the season.

Player of the Game
Carlos Santana: 'Los begins the season with four hits (.500 AVG.), including two doubles and a home run. Santana also has walked twice. In past seasons Santana has been a slow starter, with a low batting average for the first couple months of the season. This will be something to watch, however, because Santana is in a contract year and hopes to put together a case for a huge contract in the offseason. He gets player of the game honors for his lead-off home run to start the game and for reaching base three times.

The Last Word
Not a bad start, eh? The Indians are on pace for 162 wins and have had two very entertaining victories to start the 2017 campaign. Reports also state that the Tribe posted double-digit TV ratings for both of their games. I think this is going to be a very fun season. Roll Tribe Roll!
The Tribe will try for their first sweep of the season tonight at 8:05 p.m.

Fun Stat of the Night
The Indians led the AL with 15 series sweeps last season.
